Xunantunich Mayan Site and Cave Tubing

We start by picking you up at your resort or meeting us at our tour shop. Pickup time will be given to you based on where you are staying. Once we have picked you up, we will take you to have breakfast. You have the option to fly over to the mainland or take a water taxi. After breakfast, we will check in 30 minutes prior to the scheduled flight or water taxi. departure. If you choose to fly it takes 15 minutes from San Pedro to Belize City and back. If you choose the water The taxi option is a 1 hour 30 minute boat ride to Belize City. In Belize City, you will meet your tour guide for the day. From Belize City to the Xunantunich Mayan site, it is approximately a 2 hour drive to Succotz village in the Cayo district. Once on the Maya site, Xunantunich, your tour guide will take you for a walk around the area and give you the full history about the Mayan site and you can climb on top of the Mayan temple altar, which is approximately 150 feet in height. After When you finish coming down the Mayan temple and returning to the vehicle, it will be approximately an 1 hour drive to Frank Eddy Village for lunch. After lunch, it is about 15 minutes by car to where you will be conducting your next activity, which is cave tubing. Your guide will take you to get your equipment. It takes about 20 to 30 minutes to walk through the jungle trail before you reach the entrance of the cave system. Once at the entrance, of the cave system, your tour guide will tie your inner tubes together, and he will guide you through the cave system, giving all the history and information about the cave system, while flowing down the river through the cave system for approximately 45 minutes and another 20 minutes out of the cave system through the jungle. Once you reach the area where you get out of the river, it will be a 5 minutes walk to the area where the bathroom and vehicle are. You will have time to change your wet clothing to dry clothing. From the cave tubing area to Belize City it is another 1 hour ride to Belize City's municipal airstrip. You will be checked in and flying back to San Pedro, where one of our staff will pick you up and take you back to your resort.
