Xunantunich Mayan Site and Belize Zoo

We start by picking you up at your resort or meeting us at our tour shop. Pickup time will be given to you based on where you are staying. Once picked up, we will take you to have breakfast. You have the option to fly over to the mainland or take a water taxi. After breakfast, we will check in 30 minutes prior to the scheduled flight or water taxi departure. If you choose to fly takes about 15 minutes to fly from San Pedro to Belize City and back. If you choose the The water taxi option is a 1 hour 30 minute boat ride to Belize City. In Belize City, you will meet your tour guide for the day. From Belize City to the Xunantunich Mayan site, it takes approximately 2 hours to drive to the village of Succotz in the Cayo district. Once on the Maya site, Xunantunich, your the tour guide will take you for a walk around the area and give you the full history of the Mayan site, and you can climb on top of the Mayan temple altar that is approximately 150 feet in height. After you finish coming down the Mayan temple and returning to the vehicle, it will be approximately a 1 hour drive to the village of Frank Eddy for lunch. After lunch, it is about a 30-minute drive to the Belize Zoo. In the Belize Zoo, all animals are rescued or rehabilitated living in the zoo in their natural habitats. There are approximately 100 different species of wildlife like jaguars, spiders, black howler monkeys, tapirs, pumas, deer, crocodiles and many more. After returning to the vehicle, it will be approximately a 1 hour drive to Belize City municipal airstrip. You will be checked in and fly back to San Pedro, where one of our The staff will pick you up and take you back to your resort.
