Cave Tubing & Altun Ha
We'll start by picking you up at your resort or meeting you at our tour shop. Your pickup time will depend on your location. After pickup, we'll take you to breakfast. You'll then have the option of flying from San Pedro to Belize City in a 15-minute flight or taking a 1.5-hour boat ride on a water taxi. Once in Belize City, you'll meet your tour guide and embark on a journey to the Altun Ha Maya site, which is approximately a 1-hour drive north. At Altun Ha, your guide will lead you on a tour of the site, including the opportunity to climb the 55-foot temple. After exploring Altun Ha, you'll enjoy lunch in Frank Eddy Village, followed by a 15-minute drive to the cave tubing area. Your guide will provide you with the necessary equipment for the cave tubing activity. The journey to the cave entrance involves a 20- to 30-minute walk through the jungle trail. Once at the cave entrance, your guide will tie your inner tubes together and lead you through the cave system. You'll enjoy a 45-minute float through the cave system while learning about its history and features. After exiting the cave system, you'll take a 20-minute walk through the jungle to reach the area where you can change into dry clothing. From the cave tubing area, it's another 1-hour drive to Belize City Municipal Airstrip. There, you'll check in for your flight back to San Pedro, where one of our staff members will pick you up and take you back to your resort.
